Before
Set lists were written up in a document and passed round in the group chat. Suggestions were gathered on paper. The host kept track of the running order from memory or a printout, and nothing was kept afterwards.
What changed
Who's in is one link instead of forty messages. Set lists are planned in one place and copied forward from the last show. Suggestions arrive on phones and go through a moderator, the night is run from the wings, and every show is kept: what was played, who was on, and with which suggestions.
